In 1974 a group of passionate riders got together and started renting St. Louis International Raceway as a way of offering motorcycle racing and track time to the St. Louis area. They created the Midwest Cafe Racing Association as a not-for-profit club for racing and track days. Today MCRA has grown into an organization that has riders from all walks of life and attracts riders from all over the Midwest to experience the trills and fun that you can only get from riding on a track.
MCRA is unique from other track day organizations in that we truly cater to every level of rider and this season MCRA offers motorcycle racing and track days in St Louis at Gateway Motorsports Park and at Putnam Park in Cloverdale, Indiana. To promote motorcycle racing we offer the I-70 Challenge series as a way of keeping motorcycle racing alive and strong in St. Louis and in the Midwest.
MCRA offers an environment where you can safely work on rider skills and don’t have to worry about speeding tickets and traffic. If you are not sure about the track you can try one of our inexpensive “Test the Track” sessions where we help you experience the track environment in a safe and controlled manner while having fun on the tarmac.
If you feel like the track is already for you, sign up for one of our track days. We offer 3 Classes for track day sessions, Novice; Intermediate; and Advanced. And if you want to get your toes wet in racing sign up for one of our race clinics and enter into the Sportsman Class so you can race in our I-70 Challenge series.
We look forward to seeing you at the track!
Because crashing sucks.
